The Client: Parco Paolino
Parco Paolino is a luxury accommodation structure immersed in the countryside of Ostuni, the “White City.” Targeting a high-spending, predominantly international demographic, the need was to convey exclusivity, privacy, and a deep bond with Apulian nature through a whispered and elegant corporate image.
The Concept: Nature and Rest
The visual identity stems from observing the location. The gecko is not just a common animal in the Apulian countryside but a true emblem of the structure, present in architectural decors and finishes. Joined to this “earthy” symbol is the moon, the universal icon of night, rest, and dreaming.
Logo Design: Gecko and Moon
The logo depicts the stylized silhouette of a gecko. The design’s uniqueness lies in the animal’s tail, which curves harmoniously to draw a crescent moon. This visual fusion creates an implicit circle encompassing the concept of the natural cycle and nocturnal relaxation.
“Hand-Drawn” Typography
Next to the pictogram, the “PARCO PAOLINO” lettering uses a narrow, tall sans-serif font with slightly irregular lines reminiscent of handwriting or stone engraving. This typographic choice gives the brand an artisanal, human, and welcoming look, balancing the symbol’s minimalism.
Color Palette: Sage Green
The image shows the use of a monochromatic palette based on a dusty sage green. This shade was chosen to recall the colors of the Mediterranean scrub and ancient olive trees surrounding the structure. It is a color communicating calm, well-being, and connection with the earth.
Minimal Web Design
For the website, the watchword was “subtraction.” I developed an essential and clean graphic layout, where white (or negative) space enhances emotional photographs of the location. The interface is distraction-free, focusing entirely on intuitive navigation that guides the user toward booking.
User-Friendly UX
Platform usability was designed with the user at the center. Navigation paths are fluid and immediate, optimized for mobile browsing (smartphones and tablets), the preferred devices for travelers. Every superfluous element was removed to ensure loading speed and clarity.
Multilingual Module & SEO
Given the international target, the site wasn’t just translated but localized. A solid multilingual module was developed with a primary focus on English. In parallel, Italy SWAG managed SEO (Search Engine Optimization) directly in English to intercept searches from foreign tourists interested in Puglia.
Luxury Identity
The final result is a brand that speaks the language of “Quiet Luxury.” There is no ostentation in the logo or site, but discrete refinement. The corporate image perfectly reflects the stay experience: exclusive, private, and in harmony with the slow rhythms of Apulian nature.
Results & Achievements
Thanks to the rebranding and the new website, Parco Paolino has consolidated its positioning in the high-end tourism market. The international SEO strategy increased organic visibility abroad, transforming the web portal into the main acquisition channel for direct bookings from around the world.
