The Client: BP Events
BP Events is the division specializing in Weddings and Private Parties of Barproject, a renowned beverage training academy. Building on this legacy, the company offers international catering with a vertical focus on mixology and bar experience. The site needed to reflect this dual soul: the elegance of the event and the technical competence of the beverage service.
Tech Stack: Bootstrap & Understrap
To ensure a solid and high-performance structure, I chose Understrap as the development base. This hybrid framework combines WordPress flexibility with the Bootstrap responsive grid. This choice allowed for a lightweight site, free from the bloated code of commercial themes and perfectly adaptable to any device.
Tailored Page Builder with ACF
Instead of using heavy page builders (like Elementor or Divi), I built a “tailored” content management system using ACF (Advanced Custom Fields). I developed modular blocks that the client can assemble at will to create new pages, while maintaining strict graphic consistency and superior loading speed.
Visual Experience: Nanogallery.js
Events thrive on visual impact. To manage the numerous photos and videos of parties, I integrated the nanogallery.js library. This advanced solution allows creating highly responsive carousels and mosaic galleries, with modern lightbox features that enhance catering and cocktail shots without slowing down the page.
Privacy First: Video Modules
Video management was handled with extreme attention to GDPR. I developed custom modules for integrating YouTube videos in “nocookie” mode. This ensures multimedia content is shown to users without prior tracking, guaranteeing compliance with European privacy regulations.
Custom Iconography
To strengthen the visual identity, I designed a custom icon set. These vector graphic elements represent specific services (catering, bar catering, setups, wedding planning), creating a unique visual language that intuitively and refinedly guides the user through BP Events’ offerings.
