The Client: Lawants
Lawants is a leading law and tax firm in Spain, serving as a hub for international companies operating in the Iberian market. The goal was to renew their digital presence, maintaining their established authority while offering advanced digital services to global clients.
The Challenge: Performance & SEO
The project was structural, not just aesthetic. Initial analysis highlighted the need to drastically improve load times. A critical challenge was restyling without losing ranking: a massive redirect plan was executed with Koivolution to safeguard historical traffic and domain authority.
The Stack: Bootstrap & WordPress
I developed the new site by applying the Bootstrap framework to WordPress. This combination allowed for a lightweight, responsive custom theme, eliminating the bloated code of commercial themes and ensuring high scores in speed tests (Core Web Vitals).
Gutenberg & Custom Fields
For content management, I built bespoke Gutenberg modules and Custom Fields (ACF). This allows the Lawants team to update service pages and legal news while maintaining rigorous, professional formatting without the risk of layout errors.
Structured Data for the Team
In a law firm, people are the brand. I implemented specific Structured Data (Schema.org) for “Attorney” and “Accountant” roles. Each professional’s profile communicates their role and specializations semantically to Google, improving visibility in local and sector-specific searches.
Custom Event Management
The events section required specific logic. I created a dedicated Custom Post Type with a sorting system based on the actual “event date” (via custom field) rather than the post publication date, ensuring the agenda always displays upcoming appointments in the correct chronological order.
Zoho CRM Integration
The site is an active lead generation channel. I integrated contact forms directly with Zoho CRM. Potential client data is automatically sent and segmented within the firm’s management system, optimizing the commercial workflow and request handling.
Intranet & Dropbox Integration
The most complex feature is the client Intranet. I developed a system that, via a dynamic shortcode, recognizes the logged-in user and automatically embeds their private Dropbox folder. Clients access their legal documents directly from the site’s restricted area, in total security.
