The Client: Insoedil
INSOEDIL stands as the perfect acronym for “Insonorizzazione” (Soundproofing) and “Edilizia” (Construction). The company specializes in acoustic isolation, sound correction, and interior finishes. The need was to create a visual identity that immediately communicated the brand’s dual soul: technical precision in sound and solidity in construction.
The Concept: Geometry of Sound
The logo is built on the union of pure geometric shapes. I used rounded squares that, by partially overlapping, create a play of transparency and depth. This composition is not accidental but visually represents the layering of insulating materials used in construction sites.
Wave Symbology
The dynamic arrangement of the squares evokes a sound wave in motion. The visual sequence suggests the action of dampening and controlling sound, the company’s core business. The logo silently tells the story of transforming noise into quiet, promising acoustic comfort to the end customer.
The Acoustic Panel Reference
Observing the central intersection of the shapes, the stylized silhouette of a pyramid emerges. This is a direct reference to the classic shape of pyramidal sound-absorbing panels. A subtle technical detail that speaks directly to industry experts, confirming specific competence in the sector.
Color Psychology: Technical Blue
The color palette plays with shades of blue and azure. Besides being institutional colors that inspire trust and professionalism, in the context of soundproofing, they evoke calm, silence, and serenity. The use of transparency in the pictogram adds a touch of modernity and technological lightness.
Dynamic Typography
For the “INSOEDIL” logotype, I chose an uppercase sans-serif font, slightly inclined (oblique). This typographic choice gives momentum and dynamism to the brand, balancing the static nature of the geometric shapes. Readability is maximized, conveying a sense of solidity and a direct approach.
