The Client: Colore Suono

Colore Suono is a cultural association dedicated to musical and artistic promotion. Established as a creative hub, it organizes events, spreads culture, and supports emerging artists, creating a free space for expression within the local community.

The Role: Member & Designer

My involvement was total: active board member from 2011 to 2013 and Art Director. Experiencing the association from the inside allowed me to faithfully translate the community spirit and passion for music into an authentic and heartfelt visual identity.

Concept: Synesthesia

The name joins two senses: sight and hearing. The design had to represent this synesthesia, where music becomes color and art becomes visual rhythm. The visual identity plays on the contrast between structural rigor and the expressive freedom of live art.

Logo Design: Sketch Style

The logo features distinctive “pencil sketch” style lettering. The words “Colore” and “Suono” intertwine vertically, with the letters ‘O’ acting as connecting links, symbolizing the inseparable fusion between different artistic disciplines.

Custom Typography

I avoided standard fonts for a “hand-drawn” approach. The irregular, hatched stroke communicates craftsmanship, spontaneous creativity, and the imperfection typical of human art, distancing itself from the coldness of classic corporate vector graphics.

Chromatic Accents

At the base of the black and white lettering, I inserted four colored squares (green, magenta, blue, orange). These minimal elements represent the diverse souls of art “staining” and enlivening the white paper, balancing the monochromatism of the text.

Corporate Identity

The logo became the seal of all offline and online communication. From promotional flyers to social network banners, the visual identity ensured immediate recognizability for events organized in the territory, creating a strong cultural brand.

Merchandising & T-shirts

I designed the apparel line for members and supporters. The t-shirts weren’t just uniforms but streetwear design objects that strengthened the sense of belonging to the community, transforming associates into brand ambassadors during concerts.

Music Cover Art

Music needs images. I curated album covers for records produced or promoted by the association. Each cover was designed to visually translate the specific sound of the band while maintaining underlying consistency with the association’s graphic style.

Results & Achievements

The visual identity defined an era of the association, supporting its growth in the 2011-2013 biennium. The branding transformed a group of enthusiasts into a structured and professional cultural entity, instantly recognizable in the local artistic landscape.
